The Nine Mile Players is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-sexist, and non-racist theater group established for educational and cultural purposes. Our mission is to produce and perform quality theater and other artistic endeavors including, but not limited to, classes, workshops, staged readings, and improvisational groups to be presented for the general public. We also take great pride in providing creative opportunities for artists and technicians, presenting educational and responsible theatrical productions and being responsive to the artistic and cultural needs of the community. We strive to bring Broadway-level quality to our very own backyard by developing productions with the highest quality.

Announcing Children's Theatre Workshops
Following the June 9th matinee performance of Charlie Brown, we invite you to join the cast of Charlie Brown in a series of Children's Theatre Workshops. Children will have the opportunity to participate in a 10-minute class with each of the Charlie Brown characters (total of 1 hour class). Immediately following the workshop, children will have an opportunity to take photos with the cast.
Program fee is $5 per child and can be purchased together with the child's ticket on www.showtix4u.com until June 5th or at any of the performances at the door.

The Nine Mile Players are proud to present their spring musical production, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 8th at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 9th at 2 p.m. at Oxford Center School at 462 Oxford Rd Oxford, CT 06478.
This 1967 musical comedy features music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts. The latest revival of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown was presented on Broadway in 1999 and played for 149 performances at the Ambassador Theatre with Tony award-winning performances by Roger Bart and Kristin Chenoweth as Snoopy and Sally.
The cast of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown includes dynamic talent from not only the Oxford/Seymour area but as far as Bridgeport and Middletown. Cast members include Tony Benedetti (Beacon Falls), Shari Braccia (Seymour), Victoria Constantino (Beacon Falls), Kathleen Kelly (Oxford), Amanda Friedman (Waterbury), Bobby Morrison (Woodbury), Stephanie O’Connell (Oxford), David Oramas (Bridgeport), Tyler Panek (Oxford), Shannon Riccio (Milford), Wendy Scola (Oxford), Adriana Veltri (Oxford), and Kerey Viswanathan (Middletown). This production is produced by Ashleigh Smith, directed by Christina Kalafut, musically directed by Caroline Strange and Alex Saraceno and choreographed by Nicole Kristoff.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students/senior, and $5 for children 8 and under. Combo tickets for the Sunday Matinee and Children’s Workshop are available for $10. Tickets can be purchased at www.showtix4u.com until Wednesday, June 5, 2013 or at the door on the day of the performances.
